Tulah Clinical Wellness
A world-first clinical wellness sanctuary — nestled in 30 acres of Kerala's Western Ghats landscape. Studio KKD led the interior design from arrival to retreat, in collaboration with LAMI Architects and SquareM.

KEF Holdings appointed Studio KKD as lead interior designer for Tulåh Clinical Wellness — one of India's most ambitious hospitality projects. We designed the interior spaces throughout the resort: the arrival and lobby experience, communal and social areas, guest bedrooms, treatment rooms and the full spa environment.
Tulåh fuses 5,000 years of ancient Eastern healing traditions — Ayurveda, Yoga, Tibetan medicine and sound healing — with cutting-edge clinical diagnostics and regenerative medicine. Every space was designed to support that duality: restorative yet rigorous, serene yet purposeful.
A Language Built from the Inside Out
Each suite is a sanctuary in itself — a calm, considered retreat that balances the comfort of home with a deeper sense of restorative purpose. Material warmth, natural light and stillness are central.
Clinical spaces were designed to hold both the rigour of medical precision and the warmth of a healing environment.
Spaces Designed Around the Energy of Healing
The arrival sequence sets the tone for the entire stay — a choreographed transition from the outside world into a space of calm and intention. Every material and threshold moment is considered.
Dining, lounges and gathering areas were designed with purposeful flexibility — spaces that adapt to the quiet rhythms of morning and the warmth of evening, enriched by nature and local craft.
Sustainability
Reducing carbon footprint by using local materials and therefore avoiding international freight. By sourcing all materials and products exclusively from local, regional, or domestic sources, we could make serious inroads toward cutting down on the carbon emissions associated with the building environment.
