Types of information and how we use it
Kinnersley Kent Design gathers information from users of this website, potential clients, prospective and current employees and other website visitors. This includes the data you provide us with by submitting information to us through the use of our website or by contacting us by phone or email. This also includes sending an enquiry via our contact page or sending a CV or work portfolio to us.
Kinnersley Kent Design may hold this information for our internal records, business development, research and marketing. We use a contact management database (Customer Relationship Management software, or CRM) named Highrise to manage this data. The data we process includes your name, company, job title, contact details, your correspondence with Kinnersley Kent Design, and documents that you choose to share with us. We have a GDPR-compliant data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum or DPA) in place with Highrise. You can review Highrise’s privacy policy here.
Kinnersley Kent Design will only process your data when there is a legitimate interest, which includes: carrying out the services requested from us; providing fee proposals or marketing materials upon request; sharing press releases with relevant publications and organisations; recruitment; commercial interests such as promoting our relevant services to your organisation (business development) and inviting you to our industry events when we believe they are of relevance to your organisation. Where possible we will do this with your explicit consent. By contacting us directly or by signing up to our newsletter mailing list through the website, you are giving your consent for us to hold your personal data.
If you have subscribed to a newsletter we will use your information to provide you with news on our projects, opinion pieces and insights events. We store your information on our Highrise CRM database and will not share it with third parties, except as described in this policy. We will provide you with an opportunity to remove yourself from this distribution list, either by clicking Unsubscribe or by sending us an email asking to be removed.
We send our newsletters via the marketing automation platform MailChimp. We have a GDPR-compliant Data Processing Addendum in place with MailChimp, and MailChimp is also certified with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework (you can view the certification here). This means that MailChimp is considered a "safe" recipient of personal data of its customers and their subscribers that is transferred from the EU and/or Switzerland to the U.S. by offering an "adequate level of protection" for such personal data (as determined by the European Commission). MailChimp uses appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect customer and subscriber personal data. MailChimp has an Information Security Management System (ISMS) and is regularly audited against SSAE 16 and PCI standards by independent third party auditors and internal auditors, respectively. MailChimp is also continually reviewing its safety measures for enhancements, including as part of its GDPR compliance program.
Kinnersley Kent Design will keep your personal information for a reasonable period set out and in compliance with GDPR. You have the right to access, correct or request your information be erased at any time. We will provide an option to opt-out if you don’t want your information used for any purpose or for a particular purpose. Kinnersley Kent Design may collect types of anonymous data from website users through the use of cookies, which are text files that a website places on the hard drive of your computer that recognises you as a user based on your computer or mobile device’s IP address. When you then return to the website, your browser sends data back to the site, recognising your IP address as a returning visitor. This information is visible to Kinnersley Kent Design through Google Analytics and Squarespace's website analytics function. Kinnersley Kent Design may process the data provided by cookies to analyse trends or for research and marketing purposes in order to help us better serve our clients. No data identifying you personally will be collected as part of these cookies.
