Flex by Grosvenor | 50GH

Studio KKD has collaborated with Grosvenor to design 50 Grosvenor Hill — their first hospitality-led flexible workspace in London’s prestigious Mayfair, and flagship for the new Flex by Grosvenor brand.

  • Flex by Grosvenor responds to the evolving demands of the modern workplace. Its design philosophy blends the comfort of home with the vibrancy of a members' club, offering a premium experience grounded in functionality, high-end amenities, and exceptional service. The spaces are thoughtfully designed for adaptability, offering diverse environments and supporting a variety of work styles and needs. Sustainability is central to the concept, with an emphasis on local sourcing, quality craftsmanship, and long-term flexibility. All this coming to life through the “internal garden” concept—featuring lush greenery, a bold yet sophisticated colour palette, and a strong emphasis on well-being.

By leveraging the building’s existing layout—centred around a large staircase and open void—we transformed a previously underutilised circulation area into a vibrant, two-storey social hub. Cascading greenery over the balustrade, framed by large windows, floods the lower ground floor with natural light, reinforcing the welcoming and collaborative atmosphere.
Bold, vibrant colours define the environment, creating a strong and distinctive identity that sets it apart from competitors. A central design focus was offering a variety of spaces to accommodate different working styles and personalities. Private offices are crafted as calm, focused zones—both visually and acoustically—featuring acoustic wall panels, soft curtains, and a white noise system to enhance the sense of privacy. In contrast, communal areas are vibrant and inviting, blending hospitality-inspired design with the comfort of home. This dynamic contrast fosters an energising atmosphere that excites, inspires, and supports a variety of work modes.

The result is a thoughtful blend of collaboration areas, privacy booths for focused work, and adaptable breakout zones that support both daily use and events. This careful mix ensures an engaging, functional, and dynamic workplace experience.

The partnership between Studio KKD and Grosvenor has proven to be highly successful, with all sites achieving near-full occupancy and resonating positively with members. This success underscores the brand’s strength and its reputation for delivering high-quality, thoughtfully designed workspaces that enhance productivity and community.
