Aranyani

Redesigning the brand and flagship store for Aranyani, India's first luxury handbag brand, in London's Mayfair, using sustainable materials and a story-based design that reflects "The Goddess of the Forest."

  • The project undertaken by Studio KKD for Aranyani, India's first luxury handbag brand, centred around creating a physical and brand identity that deeply reflects the brand's ethos and story.

Tasked with evolving the existing brand from logo design and packaging to the interior design of a new flagship store in London's prestigious Mayfair district, the project was rooted in the theme of "The Goddess of the Forest," Aranyani. This concept guided the design narrative, aiming to embody the nurturing, protective spirit of the forest within the store's environment.

The design solution incorporated a new monogram, representing Aranyani's "Life Force," and was applied across various brand elements, from packaging to in-store graphics. The interior design was carefully crafted to evoke a journey through a forest, using locally sourced, sustainable materials that honour the brand's commitment to environmental stewardship.

The store features a mix of retail and VIP areas, with an emphasis on a luxurious yet approachable atmosphere, allowing for both a broad retail experience and a bespoke, personalised service for high-end customers. This holistic approach ensured that every detail, from the monogram to the store's layout, worked in harmony to tell Aranyani's story and reinforce its brand values.

Attention to detail’ is at the heart of both Aranyani’s bags and reflected in the interior. To deliver this in such an intricate and detailed project requires close collaboration, coordination and a shared philosophy across every team involved in the project.
