Fowey Hall | Luxury Family Hotels

Perched on the Cornish coast just a short drive from the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Helicon, Fowey Hall is a hotel made for families.

The refurbishment of the 19th-century Grade II listed hotel encompassed guest rooms and public areas, blending historic and contemporary architecture. Studio KKD was commissioned to reinvigorate the interiors, enhancing the building’s character while respecting its original charm and period details. 

We established and defined an interior design philosophy for the Luxury Family Hotels group of hotels. Creating a clear and distinct identity for the brand whilst being flexible enough to enable the unique personalities of each of the individual hotels to be expressed. Studio KKD developed a set of design principles to guide the repositioned brand and shape the hotel’s visual language - anchored in a strong sense of place, infused with country charm, balancing old and new, and enriched with moments of discovery and delight. 

The bedroom interiors, with their honest yet layered details and playful art, invite a quiet sense of discovery - spaces that awaken delight and aim to create a ‘feel good’ factor.
